Dr. Wes Smith

Dr. Wes Smith serves patients at CCI’s Russel Hill location in Huntsville as a hematologist and oncologist. Dr. Smith earned his undergraduate and medical education in Tennessee. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of South Carolina-Greenville and Prisma Health, where he also served as Chief Resident. Prior to practicing at Clearview Cancer Institute, Dr. Smith cared for patients at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center during his hematology and oncology fellowship.

During his education, Dr. Smith was active in research in both hematology and oncology as well as an active member of multiple committees focused on patient safety and processes.

Dr. Smith loves spending time with his wife and 3 sons. In addition, he loves all sports, traveling, and cooking.
