Mary Nalan, Physician Assistant

Mary Nalan completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tennessee Tech University in 2015. She then worked as an EMT and a graduate research assistant while earning a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Memphis. Mary worked on a data analytics team for a grant-funded project that assessed barriers to care for Medicaid patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Results of this project have since been published. Her experience with public health research in oncology laid the groundwork for her career. Mary went on to further her education by attending the physician assistant program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham to step into the provider role and graduated with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) in 2021. In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and climbing with her husband, and practicing yoga.
