Andrea Goodwin, Nurse Practitioner
Born and raised in Ohio, Andrea attended Hillsdale College in Michigan on an athletic scholarship. After graduating in 1994, she moved to Nashville, TN. She worked for Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Medical Intensive Care Unit as a registered nurse while completing her Master's Degree in Nursing in 1997 from Vanderbilt School of Nursing. She has been practicing as an acute care nurse practitioner for the last 22 years. She was a Nurse Practitioner for Vanderbilt's lung transplant program for many years prior to moving to Huntsville, AL . Since moving to Alabama, she has worked with the Huntsville Hospital trauma team for 11 years and recently transitioned to the palliative care team at Huntsville Hospital. She also works, as needed, with Metro Infectious Disease and teaches at the University of Alabama School of Nursing.
Andrea enjoys attending concerts and sporting events and spending time with her daughter and granddaughter.
